It’s not unusual to be asked to work with social media influencers. We take each request on a case by case basis.
When Victoria from Summer House Style (Instagram) contacted us, we loved the style of her house and arranged to meet up in person. Victoria and her husband visited our workshop to look at our products and choose something that fitted with their decor and style.
She showed us the space that it was going to be installed, and due to the high ceilings, we felt it would be best to make a taller mirror to fill out the wall better. We always say, if you weren’t putting a TV there, what shape would the mirror be? And if the answer is something more portrait than landscape, then we can make the Mirror TV taller so that it looks more fitting in the space.
Victoria was also keen to use a slimmer frame profile here. So we had to fabricate a different way to make the overall unit since the wider frames carry the weight of the unit. Whereas in this case, we had a metal structure fabricated to do this.
The TV is a 50″ Samsung QLED which has an ultra thin profile. This means that when you look at it from the side, it still looks great. As with most of our products, the side frame fillers here hid the gap between the back of the frame and the wall. With a TV Mirror, you have a wall bracket, a TV, and then the glass and frame in front of it. So there’s always a gap between the wall and the frame. The side frame fillers neaten this.
As you can see from the pictures, the result is a decorative mirror that’s in keeping with the room design.
